I'm 44, recently diagnosed with ADHD and ADD, I got tested on the back of my daughters Autism diagnosis. I have an amazing wife and 3 energetic kids, and my 5 year old furry friend Barkley
I wont claim to be an expert but I want to share my thoughts and ideas with the hope of helping others but also helping myself. If one other person can get help from what I put down here then its a success.
So we are in the middle of some redecorating at the moment, and its going surprisingly well. I have also managed to do some painting which usually is a task i hate, but there is a reason I have done it......and as usual its to do with chasing that Dopamine hit.
So I have been a bit MIA for a few weeks, between the Christmas madness, the new job hunt and just my own struggles to put my thoughts down, it ain't been easy. I know from some other well known ADHDers that idea graveyards exist, with websites and projects dying and i don't want this one to join that group....
So I haven't posted in a few weeks- which I shouldn't be too annoyed about but its not what I wanted to do when I set up this page- so apologies for anyone that has been checking in. I wanted to pop in some info on my experience trying to find the right 'partner' for me to get my testing done and then how they would help after that....
